Putting Lyft on the map out West

Lyft needed to drive growth in Western Canada by rolling into two new markets: Calgary and Edmonton. Their brand awareness out West was low, and their biggest competitor was already cruising in high gear.

We had to introduce ourselves and show that Lyft knew these two cities better than the competition. So we created a hyper-localized campaign that served contextual ads to prospects who were in the areas we were shouting out. And in true performance marketing fashion, we tested two styles of ads and optimized creative in real-time to accelerate conversion.

New drivers hopped in. Lyft saw a 400% overall increase in new approved driver sign-ups (compared to their Vancouver launch in 2020). Hail to the challenger.
