Sustainably challenging the status quo
Polestar is a challenger EV brand who wanted to put themselves in a lane of their own during the Super Bowl. In true Scandinavian fashion, they took a minimalistic approach with their spot, letting the world know they were pushing against the status quo with a bold manifesto.
We were tasked with continuing the conversation after the big game and making Polestar’s brand mission - the uncompromising pursuit of sustainable mobility - regionally relevant for Canadians. We wrote a manifesto using the same “No _____” structure introduced in the TV spot, answering each claim in Canadian context. Staying true to the sustainable brand ethos, we created full-page ads that ran nationally in The Globe and Mail and urged everyone to recycle the paper after reading. We also adapted the print ad into OLVs for social.
